**Penny’s Piggy Bank: A Tale of Economics**

Penny was a curious little girl who received a shiny piggy bank for her birthday. She decided to learn how money works.

She divided her money into three simple goals: **Save, Spend, and Share.**

Penny saved for a book she really wanted, spent carefully on things she needed, and shared some of her money with someone in need.

Over time, Penny learned an important lesson: **economics is not only about money—it is about making smart choices, planning for the future, and understanding what we truly need.**

    **What Penny Learned:**
    Needs vs. Wants
    The importance of saving
    Smart spending
    Sharing and kindness
    Planning for the future

**Small choices today can create a brighter tomorrow!**

Task topic:Complete the task: Interview: Teacher/Coach
Conduct a 25-Minute Interview with a Friend or Neighbor
As part of this activity, I conducted a 25-minute interview with a friend/neighbor to learn more about their personality, interests, experiences, daily life, and future goals. The interview was a wonderful opportunity to have a meaningful conversation and understand another person’s thoughts and experiences from a different perspective.
During the interview, I asked different questions about their hobbies, favorite activities, education, childhood memories, friendships, achievements, challenges, dreams, goals, and future plans. We also discussed some interesting topics about everyday life, technology, learning, and personal experiences.
This activity helped me understand the importance of good communication and active listening. Instead of only asking questions, I learned how important it is to listen carefully to the answers, show interest, and ask follow-up questions when necessary.
The interview also helped me become more confident while speaking with others. Conducting a conversation for 25 minutes required patience, confidence, creativity, and the ability to keep the discussion interesting. It was a great way to practice my communication skills in a natural and enjoyable environment.
One of the most interesting parts of the activity was hearing about my friend/neighbor’s personal experiences, memorable moments, lessons they have learned, and their ambitions for the future. Every person has a unique story, and this interview gave me a chance to learn something valuable from theirs.
Overall, this 25-minute interview was both educational and enjoyable. It helped me improve my communication, questioning, listening, confidence, and interpersonal skills. I also learned that meaningful conversations can help us understand people better and build stronger relationships.
I am thankful for this opportunity because it allowed me to learn outside the classroom while also spending valuable time talking with someone I know. This activity was a great learning experience, and I hope to conduct more interviews in the future to learn from different people and their experiences.

**“What’s the Matter?” – The Roots of Concern** is an engaging 10-minute topic that explores why people sometimes feel worried, concerned, confused, or uncomfortable about different situations in life. The session encourages learners to look beyond the surface of a problem and think about its real causes.

Concern is a natural part of being human. We may become concerned when something unexpected happens, when we face a difficult decision, when someone we care about is struggling, or when we are unsure about what might happen next. Understanding these feelings can help us respond thoughtfully instead of reacting quickly.

During this short session, participants can explore questions such as: **What causes concern? Why do certain situations worry us more than others? How can we identify the real source of a problem? And what can we do when something is bothering us?**

The topic also highlights the importance of communication. Sometimes simply talking to a trusted person can help us understand a situation more clearly. Listening carefully, asking questions, gathering reliable information, and breaking a big problem into smaller parts can make challenges feel easier to understand and manage.

Another important idea is that concern can sometimes encourage positive action. When we notice a problem, our concern may motivate us to learn more, seek help, support others, or find a practical solution. The goal is not to ignore every worry, but to understand it and respond in a healthy, thoughtful, and constructive way.

By the end of the 10-minute discussion, learners can better understand the **roots of concern**, recognize possible causes behind worries, and develop a more thoughtful approach to everyday challenges.

This topic is perfect for classroom discussions, student participation, speaking practice, group activities, and awareness sessions. It encourages curiosity, empathy, critical thinking, and meaningful conversation.

    **Key Takeaways:**

    * Understand what concern means.
    * Identify possible causes of worry.
    * Think about problems before reacting.
    * Communicate openly and respectfully.
    * Look for practical and positive solutions.
    * Show empathy toward people facing difficulties.
    * Turn concern into constructive action.

Let’s take a moment to ask ourselves: **“What’s the matter?”** — not just to identify a problem, but to understand its roots and discover how we can respond with patience, awareness, and care.

"Focus on being productive instead of busy." — Tim Ferriss

Being busy doesn't always mean you're making progress. Many people fill their days with endless tasks, meetings, and distractions, but true success comes from focusing on what truly matters. Productivity is about working smarter, not harder. It's about identifying the most important tasks, setting clear priorities, and using your time wisely.

Every minute is valuable. Instead of trying to do everything, concentrate on doing the right things. Eliminate unnecessary distractions, avoid procrastination, and spend your energy on activities that bring meaningful results. Small, consistent actions each day can lead to extraordinary achievements over time.

Remember, successful people aren't necessarily the busiest—they're the most effective. Learn to say "no" to things that don't align with your goals. Build healthy habits, stay organized, and keep improving yourself one step at a time.

Your future is shaped by what you consistently do today. So, don't measure your day by how busy you were—measure it by the value you created and the progress you made. Keep learning, keep growing, and keep moving toward your dreams!
