This is a true incident happened with me...
.
One day a young teenage (beggar) asked me for money right after i exited an ATM with some cash withdrawl for myself. He was so young that i felt shy to give him some 10-20 Rs. Upon enquiry he told me he is an active Labour (Mazdoor) and gets around 600 Rs daily, he was begging because he could not get work for the last few days and claimed to be hungry.
I showed him 100 Rs and said... if i give you this, you will eat today, but what for tomorrow? Then i should him 600 Rs (His daily wage) and told him if i give you this, you may eat for few days but what next? He was speechless. Then i dragged fruit seller of nearby stall into our conversation and we came to know that fruit seller makes around 600-1000 Rs daily, everyday, non-stop and with much comfort. I pushed this idea into the beggar-labour head and he liked the idea. An estimated 6000 Rs was needed to start a decent fruit stall. I went back to ATM and gave him 6000 Rs cash (Yes 6000 Rs to a begger) and told him to go work hard and set up a stall and earn your livelihood with ease, you wont have to beg again or to worry about getting a day job or not. He was excited. I told him that this money is unconditional. Gave him my cell number to call me if he likes and i would love to visit his stall. I gave him the opportunity he needed.
I was expecting him to be equally excited and work hard and change his life but unfortunately he could not. I met him again by chance and he wasted the capital i gave him. A labour could have easily summed up 6000Rs and already have started a small business if he had a desire for that, when there is no desire, nobody can help that person. Rehan is no different, he is rather more intelligent, he doesnt give everyone the resources/capital/laptop/mobile they need at first, he push them to go an extra mile and show some courage, and when the courage is ignited, then the person can easily arrange the resources he need for his life-changing idea.
