• What a beautiful prayer

    Dear God;
Let divine Love sculpt me, as waterfall forms beyond stream,
Clear my vision anew, allow me to see like you,
Heal this humble heart, if a million pieces it breaks into,
When times of pain should arrive, may a pure artistry thrive,
Forever my grateful soul will be, shall an abundant Love grow free,
Design me to breathe in truth, so life flows with tranquil soothe,
If ever there is despair, please create a place where,
Your light of bliss, fully shines thru.

    Ameen

  • I KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN SEARCH OF BLISS, But how can you find bliss by searching for it? Bliss is available to those who distribute bliss, to those who spread bliss around. If you wish for bliss then give bliss. Do not desire; give. Only by giving will it come to you; Only by sharing will it shower on you. God’s ways are strange. Do not stand at the threshold of bliss like a beggar; go there like an emperor. Haven’t you noticed that all doors are closed to a beggar? And who is a beggar anyway? A beggar is a man who begs, who pleads, who supplicates. And who is an emperor? An emperor is a man who gives. So I urge you –give, give, give. Give with no strings attached. Then you will see that what you have given is returned to you a thousand times over. Everything comes back to you. Your only asset is the echo of your own liberal gift. Do you ever recall receiving anything without having given something first?...........

  • The word "وريحان" (rayhan) in Arabic indeed commonly refers to the herb basil. However, in many contexts, especially in religious or spiritual texts, it can take on a metaphorical meaning. In such contexts, "rayhan" is used to represent bliss, contentment, or any pleasant and fragrant experience, akin to the refreshing nature of basil.

In Islamic tradition, "روح و ريحان" (rooh wa rayhan) is a phrase that signifies comfort, peace, and spiritual bliss. Its often used in a figurative sense to describe the blessings and tranquility of paradise. So, while "rayhan" literally means basil, its usage in supplications or religious texts is usually symbolic, relating to the broader connotations of comfort and heavenly bliss rather than the literal herb.

  • According to Moulana Jalaluddin Rumi, the purpose of life is deeply spiritual and revolves around the concept of love and union with the Divine. Rumi believed that every soul is on a journey of returning to its source, which is God. This journey is driven by love, the central theme in much of Rumis poetry and teachings.

Rumi teaches that human life is a process of spiritual awakening and transformation. The trials, challenges, and experiences one encounters are meant to purify the soul and bring it closer to God. The purpose of life, then, is to recognize and nurture this divine love within oneself, to transcend the ego, and to experience a deep, mystical connection with God.

In essence, for Rumi, the purpose of life is to seek and realize this union with the Divine through love, self-awareness, and spiritual growth. This union is the ultimate goal, leading to a state of eternal peace and bliss.

  • Essay: Buddha-Nature in the Nirvana Sutra

The Nirvana Sutra is one of the last teachings of the Buddha, and it gives special importance to a great truth: all beings have Buddha-nature.

    What is Buddha-Nature?

According to the Nirvana Sutra, Buddha-nature is the eternal, pure, joyful, and true self that lives within every being. It is not created and it cannot be destroyed. Even when people make mistakes, suffer, or feel lost, this Buddha-nature remains untouched, like gold hidden under the mud.

    Why is it Hidden?

The Sutra explains that ignorance, greed, anger, and attachment cover the Buddha-nature, just as clouds cover the sun. The sun never disappears—it only looks hidden. In the same way, Buddha-nature always shines within, waiting to be uncovered through wisdom and compassion.

    Key Teachings from the Sutra
    1. Universal Potential: Every person, no matter how sinful, carries Buddha-nature. Nobody is left out.
    2. The Eternal Self: While earlier teachings spoke of “no-self” and impermanence, the Nirvana Sutra says the highest truth is eternal—pure, blissful, and unchanging. This is Buddha-nature.
    3. Compassionate Hope: Even those who seem hopeless have the chance to awaken. This gives hope to all and inspires compassion towards everyone.

    Why It Matters

The Nirvana Sutra teaches that we should not see people only by their mistakes or weaknesses. Instead, we should look deeper and recognize the Buddha within them. This vision creates respect, equality, and kindness. It also gives us courage, because we learn that we ourselves are not broken—we carry within us an indestructible treasure.

    Conclusion

In the Nirvana Sutra, Buddha-nature is described as the eternal light within every living being. It cannot be destroyed by pain or mistakes. Discovering this light is the true meaning of Nirvana. When we realize our Buddha-nature, we understand that our deepest self is already pure, joyful, and one with truth.
