In alignment with the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives’ vision to drive innovation and efficiency, we propose a pilot initiative to introduce the use of artificial intelligence (AI) through a series of workshops on ChatGPT in 10 key organizations under your ministry.

Objective of the Workshops:
The workshops aim to showcase the potential of AI-powered tools like ChatGPT in enhancing productivity, decision-making, and communication processes. By equipping your teams with knowledge and skills to use ChatGPT effectively, we can help foster innovation and improve operational efficiency across departments.

Workshop Plan:
1. Introduction to AI and ChatGPT:
• Overview of AI’s impact on organizational efficiency.
• Demonstration of ChatGPT’s capabilities in generating insights, drafting reports, streamlining communication, and automating routine tasks.
2. Hands-On Training:
• Step-by-step installation of the ChatGPT app for participants.
• Interactive sessions on how to leverage the app for organizational tasks and problem-solving.
3. Customization and Application:
• Tailoring ChatGPT use cases to the specific needs of each organization.
• Developing workflows and use cases that align with their operational goals.
4. Follow-Up Support:
• Providing participants with our contact details for continued support and guidance.
• Collecting feedback to measure the impact and refine future training sessions.

Expected Outcomes:
• Enhanced productivity through AI-assisted report writing, data analysis, and communication.
• Improved problem-solving capabilities with real-time AI-powered assistance.
• Increased digital literacy and readiness for integrating AI into broader organizational processes.

Proposal Request:
We kindly request your approval to:
1. Conduct workshops for 10 organizations under the Ministry of Planning as a pilot initiative.
2. Collaborate with representatives of each organization to facilitate these sessions.

The Rehan Foundation will bear all costs associated with organizing and conducting these workshops, including materials, technical support, and training sessions.

Facebook and Social Media Has Become Too Big to Close

What we are witnessing in Nepal is historic.

Just yesterday, the Nepali government tried to ban Facebook, YouTube, X (Twitter), and other social media platforms, claiming these platforms were not following new government regulations. But this decision backfired in a way no one expected.

Gen Z—the young people of Nepal—took to the streets.
For them, social media is not just entertainment, it is their voice, education, connection, and opportunity. Banning it felt like cutting them off from the world.

Protests spread across Kathmandu and other cities. What started as peaceful demonstrations quickly escalated into a massive uprising against corruption, censorship, and decades of frustration with political elites.

The situation turned deadly:
• At least 19 people lost their lives, and hundreds were injured.
• Protesters set fire to key government buildings—including the Parliament, Supreme Court, and even the Prime Minister’s residence.
• Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu was occupied by the army.

The pressure grew so intense that Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli was forced to resign. This is the first time in world history that banning Facebook and social media triggered the fall of a government.

• Social media is now bigger than governments. It connects billions of people daily, and any attempt to shut it down can spark revolutions.
• Young people will no longer accept censorship. They are ready to defend their digital freedom.

زندگی بدلی…

لیکن کہانی یہاں ختم نہیں ہوئی۔

انہوں نے اور ان کے شوہر نے کراچی کی ایک چھت پر…
خاموشی سے ایک چھوٹا سا پلانٹ سیٹ اپ شروع کیا۔

نہ کوئی بڑی انویسٹمنٹ۔
نہ کوئی بڑی کمپنی۔
نہ کوئی شور۔

صرف:
پودے…
مٹی…
اور 10 بچے۔

گھر کے بچے موبائل، ٹی وی اور اسکرین میں کھو رہے تھے۔

تو انہوں نے ایک عجیب فیصلہ کیا۔

انہوں نے بچوں کو گملے رنگنے دیے۔

پودوں کو پانی دینا سکھایا۔

پتے صاف کروائے۔

چھت سے نیچے پلانٹ اٹھوا کر لے گئے۔

آرڈر پیک کروائے۔

اور پھر کچھ ایسا ہوا…
جو شاید کراچی کے ہزاروں گھروں میں ہونا چاہیے۔

بچے اسکرین چھوڑنے لگے۔

وہ بھاگ کر آنے لگے:
“آج کون سا پاٹ کلر کرنا ہے؟”

ان کے ہاتھ مٹی سے گندے ہونے لگے…
لیکن ان کے دماغ صاف ہونے لگے۔

ان کے جسم حرکت کرنے لگے۔

ان کے اندر patience آنے لگا۔

ذمہ داری آنے لگی۔

اور پھر مسٹر اور مسز فرحان نے اپنے اس چھوٹے سے سیٹ اپ کا نام رکھا:

“10 Children’s Garden”

کیونکہ یہ صرف پودوں کا کاروبار نہیں تھا۔

یہ بچوں کو دوبارہ زندگی سے جوڑنے کا مشن تھا۔

آج کراچی کے اندر…
لوگ صرف پلانٹس خریدنے کے لیے نہیں…

بلکہ ان کی sincerity خریدنے کے لیے آرڈر دیتے ہیں۔

ان کے کلر کیے ہوئے پاٹس…
ان کی پہچان بن چکے ہیں۔

یہ ہے کراچی کی اصل entrepreneurship۔

جہاں:
Business + Family + Children + Nature
ایک ساتھ چل رہے ہیں۔

میرے نزدیک…
یہ لوگ صرف پلانٹ سیلرز نہیں۔

یہ کراچی کے Green Superheroes ہیں۔ ‍‍

اگر پاکستان کے ہر گھر کی چھت پر…
ایسے 10 بچے پودوں کے ساتھ بڑے ہونے لگ جائیں…

تو شاید:
ہماری گرمی بھی کم ہو جائے…
بچوں کی anxiety بھی…
اور بے مقصد اسکرین اسکرولنگ بھی۔
