Day 14: Story Post
Mulla Nasrudin & the Tightrope Walker
English Story
One day, Mulla Nasrudin went to the village square and saw a tightrope walker performing high above the ground. A large crowd gathered to watch him walk carefully across a thin rope.
Everyone clapped and cheered. Nasrudin looked at the performer and said, “What is so special about walking on a rope? I walk on the ground every day!”
The tightrope walker smiled and asked, “Mulla, can you walk on this rope without falling?”
Nasrudin thought for a moment and replied, “No, my friend. But can you walk through the crowded market while carrying eggs, talking to people, and avoiding all the donkeys?”
The crowd burst into laughter. Even the tightrope walker laughed and admitted that Nasrudin had made a clever point.
Nasrudin smiled and said, “Everyone has a special skill. We should appreciate one another instead of comparing ourselves.”
Moral of the Story
Everyone has different talents and abilities. Respect others, appreciate their skills, and never underestimate anyone!
