• Is there a lawyer here ? Can you answer my friend about the following:

Is Pakistani legal stuff based on english common law? I suspect india is and I know that Pakistan broke away from india but I dont know what they did with respect to their legal system

Pakistani law is based upon the legal system of British India; thus ultimately on the common law of England and Wales. -- that means that its similar but not identical to what I am learning now, and what I have learned since I started law as a hobby in 1992 which means it might be possible for me to do some introductory level law classes for your school. it would by no means by anything overly complex but like law for business owners or whtaever it would take a good amount of research on my part though to learn the differences between there and here. near as I can tell there are 3 basic legal systems globally. common law (from the UK), civil law (from ancient rome) and sharia law (from either the quoran or muhammeds other writings I am unsure where exactly it comes from)

I know jewish law is also different, its based on the torah as its superceding law and then laws of man but am unsure which type of legal system they have. and I suspect there are other smaller localized legal systems elsewhere in the world. but those are the 3 biggest

I do not know much about sharia law but I do know that it varies greatly from place to place, ruler to ruler. Iran for example lets women work but some other places think of that as a sin. This makes it harder to research because a change in rulers can potentially change a lot of definitions.

  • Addy Crezee — The Builder Who Turns Ideas Into Movements

In every era, a few people quietly build the bridges that entire industries eventually walk across. Addy Crezee is one of them.

Long before the world was obsessed with AI, and long before Dubai became the center of the global tech conversation, he was already doing something different: bringing builders together, creating communities where founders, dreamers, developers, and innovators could meet each other — and transform each other.

He didn’t start as a celebrity CEO.
He didn’t rise through loud marketing or hype.
He grew by showing up, again and again, creating spaces for people to learn, connect, and launch.

From the early days of Web3 to global stages

Years ago, during the rise of blockchain technology, Addy became known for building BlockShow, one of the earliest and most respected Web3 conferences in the world. It wasn’t just an event — it became a global meeting point for the people shaping the future of decentralized technology.

Speakers like Jimmy Wales, founders, investors, and technologists walked onto BlockShow stages because Addy had earned something rare: trust.

From there, his journey kept evolving.

He launched new platforms like FORKED, built founder-led communities, and then made a bold leap into the next frontier — artificial intelligence.

Then came Function1 — Dubai’s bold AI stage

Function1 quickly became one of Dubai’s most exciting AI gatherings. It wasn’t corporate. It wasn’t stiff. It wasn’t built for VIP badges.
It was built for builders — the young founders, the indie hackers, the curious learners, the dreamers who want to create something new.

Under Addy’s leadership, Function1 became more than a conference.
It became a movement — attracting thousands, energizing the region, and placing Dubai at the center of global AI culture.

A surprising truth: the founder is humbler than the event

    Today brought an unexpected discovery.

In a world where many founders hide behind their brand, Addy Crezee turned out to be the opposite — approachable, warm, grounded, and genuinely humble.

    No walls.
    No ego.
    No distance.

Just a builder talking to another builder, happy to explore ideas, happy to listen, happy to collaborate.

When the vision for bringing Function1 to Pakistan was shared with him — a dream to ignite thousands of young Pakistanis with the same energy Dubai felt — he responded not like a corporate executive, but like a friend:

    Open. Encouraging. Excited. Curious.

That moment revealed why his events feel alive:
Because the person behind them is alive — full of curiosity, openness, and a passion for helping others grow.

    Why his story matters

Addy’s life is a reminder that movements don’t begin with noise.
    They begin with connection.

They begin with the one person who dares to bring people into the same room.
Who dares to create a platform where anyone can dream bigger.
Who dares to believe that ideas grow faster when shared openly.

Addy Crezee is one of those rare people.

And after meeting him, one thing became clear:

If Function1 comes to Pakistan, it will ignite a new generation of builders — because it will carry the same humility, honesty, and creative fire that lives in Addy himself.

A global movement always begins with one conversation.
Today felt like the first of many.
