I had an opportunity to go to one of the Elite Schools of Pakistan which has been working for a few decades. I saw the young ones speaking there, and they were full of current, 1100 volts coming out of them, full of energy to do ANYTHING. What I fail to understand is that with such a youth being produced in thousands, why can we not name 50 even who are on our fingertips, who are going to change the destiny of Pakistan ? Add him This is what he says It is a dream at this point which I mentioned to Rehan yesterday: “I want to see all kids in Pakistan getting CS/Computer education starting as early as in elementary and secondary schools. I think for this to happen we would need to mobilize everyone in Pakistan on emergency basis including governments at local and federal levels, school and college teachers, all students, and everyone else who can help and is interested. I believe if we want to catch up with the rest of the world there is no option but to make CS education as part of formal curriculum like Science, Math, and English etc in schools all over Pakistan. We would also need to get students equipped with computers, and ipads, and laptops and provide them with internet connections so that they in addition to taking classes in schools can also benefit from online courses offered by online course providers such as https://www.coursera.org/ and https://www.udacity.com/, and http://code.org/. There is such a great wealth of free education available out there today which I wish kids in Pakistan should also take advantage of which they are not today in great numbers. As I said this is a dream and it will take a while for it to come to fruition but if start taking small steps now and channel our resources and youth in the right direction people like you can make this dream come true.
