We can’t just stand by and not do anything to help the innocent people of Syria any longer. Between now and the sixth anniversary of the war in Syria on the 15th March, Postcards For Peace is asking people from all over the world to join us by reaching out to Syria in a very easy and simple way. We are asking everyone to create hand prints or to draw around their hands and to post a picture on social media or send it to us a photograph. The plan is to get enough hands printed that, if they could be laid side by side, they would create a human chain of hands that would reach from the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, to Aleppo in Syria. We estimate that it would take 10 million pairs of hands to create this bridge. We are also be asking celebrities to take part and send us their prints so that we can hold an fundraising exhibition and auction to raise money for charity. Sean Lennon (son of John Lennon & Yoko Ono) has already sent us his design. Our chosen charities are: Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), RefuAid and Samara's Aid Appeal.
