The knowledge in Sweden about Pakistan is most characterised by antagonism to India about Kashmir and unrest in the world war to Afghanistan, where the Taliban are raging.
But there is a lot going on in this populous country with around 200 million inhabitants. I got that clear when this summer I got to meet Rehan Allahwala through Bert-Ola Bergstrand, first in östersund and then at almedalsveckan in visby. Rehan is a successful entrepreneur in digital media and is now working intensively to develop his country by stimulating more people to start business. He works at the same time with education, health care and increased understanding of borders and is often on a traveling foot. At Home in Pakistan, Rehan Co-workers are working on bringing out materials spread through Facebook, Youtube and other social media.
Obviously theres a lot going on in pakistan that most of us have no idea, neither do I before. Here is an example of what is going on; a big conference to stimulate entrepreneurship around the country. Isnt it encouraging for the future.
