Topic The Smell of Soup – Mulla Nasruddin
One day, Mulla Nasruddin was walking through the marketplace when he noticed a poor man eating a piece of dry bread near a restaurant. The delicious smell of hot soup filled the air, and the man enjoyed his bread with the aroma.
The restaurant owner became angry and said, "You enjoyed the smell of my soup. You must pay for it!"
The poor man was worried because he had no money.
Mulla Nasruddin stepped forward, took a few coins from his pocket, and shook them so they made a jingling sound. Then he put the coins back into his pocket.
The restaurant owner asked, "What was that for?"
Mulla Nasruddin smiled and replied, "The smell of your soup has been paid for with the sound of my coins."
The restaurant owner had no answer, and the poor man left happily.
