A large crowd gathered to watch him walk carefully across a thin rope. Everyone clapped and cheered. Nasrudin looked at the performer and said, “What is so special about walking on a rope? I walk on the ground every day!” The tightrope walker smiled and asked, “Mulla, can you walk on this rope without falling?” Nasrudin thought for a moment and replied, “No, my friend. But can you walk through the crowded market while carrying eggs, talking to people, and avoiding all the donkeys?” The crowd burst into laughter.
