This project is designed to convert an amount from one currency into another by using predefined exchange rates. It is a great way to practice programming fundamentals while creating something useful and practical. In this project, the user first enters the amount they want to convert. After that, they select the source currency and the target currency, such as USD, EUR, PKR, INR, GBP, or JPY. The program then checks the selected currencies and performs the required calculation to display the converted amount. This coding challenge helped me understand important programming concepts such as variables, dictionaries, user input, conditional statements, arithmetic operations, and formatted output. I also learned how a program can take information from the user, process that information, and provide a clear result. For example, the program can take an amount in USD and convert it into PKR according to the exchange rate stored in the program. It also includes basic validation so that an invalid currency can be identified instead of producing an incorrect result. Completing this task improved my confidence in writing Python programs and strengthened my problem-solving skills.
